2). RUTH M. BENDORF Ruth M. Bendorf, 80, Platteville, formerly of Livingston, died Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2001, at Southwest Health Center in Platteville. She was born July l6, 1921, in Platteville Township the daughter of George and Grace Wilson Quincy. On Oct. 2, 1940,she was married to Lyle Bendorf. He died on June 27, 1978. They farmed near Platteville and then near Cobb before moving into Cobb. She worked 20 years as a Nurses Aide at Bloomfield Manor Nursing Home near Dodgeville before retiring in July 1986. She was a member of the Livingston Free Methodist Church. She is survived by four children, Ervin Joan Bendorf of Madison, Ed Judy Bendorf of Platteville, Gwen DickStauffacher of Benton, and the Rev. Darrell Charlotte Bendorf of Harvard, l!I. 10 grandchildren 12 great grandchildren and three sisters, Alice Luther Marler of Orland Park, IL. Mercedes Gwynn of Phoenix, Ariz., and George Earl Grenzow of Monroe. Besides her parents and her husband, Mrs. Bendorf was preceded in death by a son, David Bendorf, on May 20, 1967 a sister, Eleanor Bendorf on Sept. 26, 1989 and two brothers, Guerdon Quincy on Feb. 5, 1968 and Wilson Quincy on Dec. 5. 2000. Services were held at 10 30 A.M. Monday, Sept. 10, at the Platteville Free Methodist Church with the Rev. Steve Borwick and the Rev. Daryl Arms officiating. Burial was in the Hillside Cemetery in Lancaster. Family and friends called from 3 8 P.M. at the Bendorf Funeral Home in Platteville.
