1). Appears in the Montgomery census of 1860. Was a Confederate soldier. Was a planter in 1860. Jane Jernigan says that Uncle Willie used to visit them in Pollard, Alabama. He was a big man with a large moustache and he smoked a lot. She remembers hiding when he had to leave at the end of a visit, so she wouldn t have to kiss him goodbye. !
