NOTES
1). The 1840 Maury county Tennessee census shows a boy, age 1014, living in the household of Mary D. Bowman in Civil District 25. On 8 June, 1847 Davis Bomar obtained a marriage license to marry Caroline Truelove in Maury county, Tennessee. There was no return recorded for this license. A record of birth for J. D. James David? Bomar was found in Trigg county, Kentucky, for 7 December 1854. The parents are listed as David Bomar and Anna Cosey. Wiley Bomer s son David Monroe was born in Trigg county in 1854. David Monroe was probably named after his uncle David.
