He retired from the United States Army after 25 years ofserviceincluding World War II and the Korean War. He receivedmanydecorations including the French Fourragere. He was a member of Crosswell Baptist Church and a chartermemberof the Retired Officers Association, Greenville Chapter. Surviving are his wife, Jessie Trotter Galloway of the home andseveral nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by five brothers and four sisters.
