Althoughthedeath certificate was prepared by the Hackney Funeral home inHobart,he passed away while in a nursing home in Bonham,FanninCounty,Texas. According to Bob Russell step son of Lawrence and Mary , andhissisters, Joanne Holloway Mann and Patricia Holloway, this iswhathappened. Lawrence was living alone. He had gone out to get his paper, whenheslipped on ice and fell and broke his hip. He was found laying onthesidewalk nearly an hour after he had fallen, and along with thebrokenhip he was also suffering from hyperthermia. BobRussell cametovisit him, found him in need of nursing and moved Lawrence toWolfCity where Bob lived . When his condition worsened, hewastransferred to the hospital in Bonham, where he died.
