Born in Abbeville, he was a son of the late Chesley Burton and EllaMaeBeagle Walker. He was a retired supervisor of Bloomsburg Mill, aMasonand a member of Pisgah Methodist Church in Fountain Inn. Surviving are widow daughter, Trudy Cox of Spartanburg sons,BillyWalker of Fountain Inn, Ricky Walker of Greenwood and MelvinWalker ofRock Hill sister, Mrs. Mamie W. Porter of Abbeville brother, HaroldWalker of Knoxville, Tenn. nine grandchildren onegreat granddaughter. Services were Friday at Harris Funeral Home Chapel by the Revs.ForestMixon and John Tucker. Burial in Melrose Cemetery.
