Downing.ged VILLAGE RECORD, Chester county, March 8, 1837 Marriage On Thursday evening, the 2nd inst. by the Rev. Horatio G. Jones, Richard I. Downing, of Chester county, to Susan Havard, daughter of Jonathan Miller, Esq., of Delaware. The three known children ofthis marriage all died young in September, 1851, an insteresting situation. The newspaper notices of the deaths are as follows VILLAGE RECORD, Chester county, September 30, 1851 Death Notice Near Downingtown, on the 13th inst. of bilious dysentery, Richard youngest son of Richard I. and Susan H. Downing, aged 4 years and 5 months. VILLAGE RECORD, Chester county, October 7, 1851 Death notice near Downingtown, September 29th of bilious dysentery, Joseph I., eldest son of Richard I. Downing, aged 13 years and 9 months, and within hours after, Henry W., the second son, aged 8 years.
2). Downing.ged VILLAGE RECORD, Chester county, March 8, 1837 Marriage On Thursday evening, the 2nd ist. by the Rev. Horatio G. Jones, Richard I. Downing, of Chester county, to Susan Havard, daughter of Jonathan Miller, Esq., of Delaware. This article would indicate that Susan Havard was a widow, with an original maiden name of Miller.
