2). 18401.ged Obituary, Mercer County, MO. A Double Funeral. On the evening of Feb 29th the Death Angel came to the home of William Landerth and called for Mrs. Susan Rhea. She was born in White County, Tennessee, June 30, 1828, age 80 years and 8 months. Ransom H.Rhea was born in the same county June 29, 1829 age 77 years, 1 month, 3 days. They came with their parents to Missouri in 1838. settling in Mercer County, March 1839, where they resided until their death. Susan C. was married to George Clinkinbeard,November 29,1846. Of this union was born seven children. One died in childhood, six are living to mourn the loss of a kind and dear mother. At an early age she united with the Christian church of Goshen, where she keldher membership until the church atMt. Moriah was organized, where she joined as a charter member and remained so until her death. Ransom H. Rhea was united in marriage to Lydia H. Everett, October 30,1845. To them were born eleven children. Six of this family are living. His failfull companions, four brothers, one sister and five children having proceeded him to the shores of never ending eternity. In 1846, Father Rhea joined the Christian Church of Goshen, where he held his membership untill 1900, where he removed to Mt. Moriah. Hedied in the Christian faith at his home in Mt Moriah March 2,1904. The funeral was conducted be the writer at the some time Thursday of last week, from the Goshen Christian Church. in the presence of a large church of Mt Moriah. The remains then laid torest in the Goshen semetery. R. H. Goodpasture.
