1). 18401.ged 1958 Obituary of Harley Ellsworth Downing, provided by Bertha Downing, Medford, OK Harley Ellsworth Downing, son of Thomas and Rosa Downing, was born Oct 2, 1904, in northern Grant county, Oklahoma, and passed away at his home Sunday, Oct. 19, following an extended illness at the age of 54 years, 17 days. In 1925 he was united in Marriage to Maybell Cupp, of Wakita, Okla. they had three children, one son, Ellsworth of Medford, and two daughters, Norma Jea Barnes and Donna Lee Ciskowski, both of Wichita, KS. Mr. Downing resided in this community as a farmer all his life. Besides his wife and children, he is survived by two brothers, Ralph, of Wichita, and Francis, of Caldwellfour sisters, Susan Arterburn of Medford, Sylvia Downing of rural Caldwell, Ruth Simanek of Uncas, and Mabel best of Hawley, and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, George, and a granddaughter, Beverly Ann Barnes. He wa a loving and devoted Christian husband and father, and respected by all who knew him.
