2). Research  OBIT     JOURNAL TRIBUNE BLACKWELL, OKLA JAN 30, 1997  JoANNE M. CRAIN  JoAnne M. Crain, 66, of Arkansas City, Kna., died Tuesday, Jan. 28, 1997, in Medicallodge East in Arkansas City.  Her funeral will be held at 1 30 p.m. Friday in the First Southern Baptist Church in Arkansas City with Jom Littlefield, mimister, officiating.  Burial will be in Longwood Cemetery, east of Ponca City.  Friends may call at Hawks Funeral Home in Arkansas City Thusday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.  Mrs. Crain was the daughter of Hobart O. and Dora  Eaton  Brown and born on July 18, 1930.  She graduated from Ponca City High School and later from the School pf Practical Nursing at Blackwell General Hospital.  On June 11, 1950, she married Keith Melvin Crain in Blackwell.  they moved to Arkansas City in May 1955 and opened Crain Tile Company which they operated for many years.  Mrs. Crain, a licensed practiacal nuse, also had worked several years at the Arkansas City Memorial Hospital.  She had recently worked as a unit sales clerk for Stanley Home Products.  She was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church, Spencer Ralston VFW Post 1254 Ladies Auziliary and Shelton Beaty American Legion Post 18 Auziliary.  Survivors are her husband, Keith  two daughters, Cathy McAdoo, Elko, Nev., and Debbie Stubbs, Tulsa  four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.  Also surviving are five brothers, Robert Joe Brown, Richard Owne Brown, Otis Brown, Jerry Brown and David Brown, all of Ponca City, and 10 sisters, Bessie Taylor, Frances Smith, Betty Wright, Edith Atkins, Jackie Schoonover, Judy Fox, and Sharon Hodges, all of Ponca City  Lena Auld, Orlando, Fal.  Willie Racho, Stockton, Calif., and Elizabeth Dale, Kaw City.  She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Sally Denise Crain, and a brother, William Ewen Brown.  A memorial in her name has been established with the First Southern Baptist church building fund.  Contrubutions may be left at teh funeral home.
