They located on a farm near Fairfield which at that time was only a small village of eight families. Married William James, 14 Feb. 1856. 13 children. Survived by Theodore of Cantralia, Wash. Jeannie of Whitten S.D. Wm. of Batavi George of Selma Bell of Lincoln,Nebr. Rola of Des Moines and Orval Arvel Ed. of LaPlata,MO Sadie of Beckwith Weldy of Newton. Three opreceded her in death, Fred, Peter,and Addie Steel. Survived by 39 granchildren, 27 great granchildren one sister, Mrs. Catherine Richardson of Fairfield,Iowa.
