John Marshall Thompson born december 3, 1847. Archibald a nd Nancy DeBow, born February 14, 1850 died at birth. By 1871, the Nashville, Chattanooga and St. Louis Rail way was running from Hickman, Kentucky to Bruceton, Tenness ee with the track dividing the Brevard farm and a flag stat ion was known as Brevard s Crossing. There were no hardsur face roads and many came on foot, horse back, and buggies t o ride into Union City. For two years, the fare was five ce nts for all ages, until it terminated in 1954. Cyrus married Mary Loretta Crenshaw, born August 11, 186 7, at Hartsville, on March 15 1882 and they farmed on the N orth side of the Nashville, Chattanooga and St. Louis railr oad track. Their children Adrian, born March 7, 1883Mar y Clarissa, born November 22, 1884 Cyrus Winslow born Augu st 15, 1887 Sallie Kate, born January 2, 1890 Karl, bor n September 5, 1892 Joel Rice Crenshaw, born September 10 , 1894 Alfred Alexander, born June 16, 1897. Karl and Alfr ed died in infancy. Adrian married John Culbert McRee June 8, 1909. He die d August 14, 1958. Cyrus married Ruth Elizabeth Talley Febr uary 21, 1912. Ruth died January 4, 1915. He married Jodi e Winston March 12, 1919. Cyrus Jr. died May 19, 1957. Jodi e died January 10, 1959. Joel and Gertrude Brom were marrie d in Detroit, Michigan February 19, 1927. Joel died Decembe r 7, 1969. Gertrude moved to Mt. Clemons, Michigan in April , 1976. Mary and Sallie Kate lived with Adrian after her h usband s death, until her death February 7, 1969. Sallie Ka te died February 10, 1975. Mary died June 3, 1975.
