1). A resident of Charles Town when it was captured by the Bri tish on 12 May, 1780, Thomas Eveleigh was arrested and impr isoned on the schooner Pack Horse in 1781, later moved to t he prison ship Forbay. On 31 December, 1781 he and his fami ly were banished to Jamestown, Virginia. They returned to S outh Carolina after the war.
