The death of Mr. C., though n o t unex pe c ted, is sadly deplored by the entire communit y . He ha s b ee n ailing for some weeks and little hope h a s been ent erta ine d at any time of his recovery. The c om munity ha s los t a wo rthy citizen, and his loss will b e g reatly fel t. H e has be en identified with many of th e be st interest s of t he county , and his work as Enginee r an d Surveyor ha s exten ded to man y parts of the state . O f late years h e has turn ed his atte ntion largely t o th e survey of railr oads. Hi s work was alw ays of th e mos t satisfactory chara cter, an d hence his servi ces w ere al ways in demand.
