1). He moved west to Adrian, Michigan, in 1837, then to Illin o i s in 1845. He apparently died prior to 1850 since his wife, Nancy, appe a r s on the 1850 Census for St. Charles, Illinois, age 48, born in Massach u s etts. She was living with the son Bryant in the household of Bryant Dur a n t, age 43, born in Massachusetts, who was probably her younger brother.
