S 39597 ENLISTED, 1779, AT THE AGE OF SIXTEEN MAKING HIM BORN IN 1763 , IN HAMPSHIRE CO., .....CAPT WILLIAM JOHNSON S..................................... ..............................AND WAS AT THE CAPTURE OF.......................................... THE BRITISH ARMY AT YORKTOWN, HAVING SERVED THREE YEARS AND NINE MONTHS. SOLDIER APPLIED FOR PENSION, HARRISON CO., JAN 17, 1825. CERTIFICATE WAS ISSUED SAME YEAR BUT WAS LATER DROPPED AND THER IS NO EVIDENCE FOUND OF ITS RESTORATION. SOLDIER DIED JULY 9, 1850, WIDOW WAS AGED FIFTY TWO IN 1825.
