Many other records indicate he was a fa rm er traded his farm in 1681 made an inventory the foll owi n g year and set land boundaries in 1684. The first wife of Jochem Lambertse Van Valkenburg wa s E v a Hendrickse Vroman who came to America in 1664 fro m th e N e therlands with her father, then a widower. Non e of t hei r children were baptised until1684 when the fiv e oldes t boy s w ere baptised at the same time.
