Th e d eed es tablishes that Tryal is the wife o f Mich ael B. M orse , and t hat Lucy is his daughter. In J une o f 1860 a te rribl e tornad o ripped through the Ambo y are a directly th roug h the Mors e farm. Michael was bad ly inj ured as was hi s dau ghter, Emma , and two young son s.
