1). bobspu.ged He and his wife had a child baptized in the Walpack church in 1747. In 1748 he signed a petition asking for the creation of Smithfield Twp in Bucks Co then . A petition in 1763 in Smithfield Twp signed by John Canterman. A petition of 1761 is signed by Henry Countryman. He became a Moravian, and lived in Dansbury on the land of Dirck Van Vliet and may have farmed for him. His wife fled to Nazareth after the indian attacks in 1755, when their house was burned she died there in 1756. Their son Andreas was killed by indians and scalped 300 yards from their house on 20 Apr 1757. In 1755, Moravian records show that Henry had 5 children. Various records between 1750 and 1755, on page 85 of Old Dansbury, show that both Henry and William Countryman lived in Lower Smithfield Twp.
