1). William Henry Harrison Moores, Jr. was born at the old Mo ores home in Bowie County, Texas May 22, 1865. At 19 year s of age he had the management of his father s saw mill. H e followed this avocation for some years. When about 25 yea rs old he was elected Treasurer of Bowie County, holding th is office three terms six years . He assisted in organizin g the City National Bank, of Texarkana, Texas, and was Vic e President and Cashier of this institution until failing h ealth forced him to resign and seek out door employment. H e therefore began again in the lumber business, and since h as been General Manager for companies in Louisiana and Texa s is at this time General Manager for the National Lumbe r and Creosoting Mills, at Saltillo, Texas. He is a membe r of the Southern Presbyterian Church, and has served as a n Elder for a number of years. His kind and sympathetic nat ure has made him many true friends.
2). Mary Lunsford Thorn married her step cousin, W.H.H. Moores . His father, also W.H.H. Moores, married Mary Lunsford Dou glass, the maternal aunt of Mary Thorn. They moved to Texar kana, Texas and lived near her Harrison cousins.
