1). James Adams, the progenitor of the Adams of The Fork , R ichland County, South Carolina, came as an emigrant from En gland to Virginia prior to 1746. He married Agnes Walker, d aughter of Henry Walker, and they had two sons. After th e death of James Adams, Agnes married a Culpepper and is sa id to have had two daughters by this marriage . Lower Rich land Planters, by Laura Jervey Hopkins.
2). After the death of James Adams, Agnes Walker married a Cul pepper of Virginia. Two daughters were born to Agnes Walke r by this second marriage. The Adams Family of The Fork, J.H. Adams.
