Richard married Mrs. Elizabeth Vickeridge, daughter of Eli as Ball, and at her death in 1746, removed with his son an d namesake to England, but continued his business connectio ns with his brother Thomas. His place of business was Bay s Yard, Walbrook, England, and Barge Yard, Bucklersbury, Lo ndon. He is listed in Kent s Directory 20th edition for 175 3 and in Sketchley s Sheffield Directory of London Merchant s for 1774. Kent s Directory for 1770 lists Thomas & Richar d Shubrick Company at No. 52 Watling Street, London. Richar d attended Eton 1766 1768 Trinity Hall, Cambridge Universi ty, where he was admitted at the Middle Temple 4 October, 1 768 admitted pens ? 7 January, 1769 matric. Michs ? 1 770.
