1). Esther McDonald and her husband John Woodward resided on Anvil Rock Plantation, where it is said they are buried. J ohn Woodward was 21 at the time of the Regulation, and die d owning over 7000 acres of land and 55 slaves. He is refer red to as John Woodward, South Carolina Regulator, Cedar C reek of Broad River, 7389 acres 55 slaves in Richard Maxwe ll Brown s The South Carolina Regulators , p.114, 118, & 1 19.
