Blount. He served as a representative of the state of Franklin. John owned a mill at the mouth of Muddy Creek and according to deeds was a large land owner with numerous slaves. Muddy Creek is now located West of Blountville, Sullivan Co., Tennessee. A two story home was built in 1789. The plantation consisted of 1,350 acres at John s Death in 1803.
