NOTES
1). bobspu.ged According to the History of Tuscarawas County, Ohio, Abijah Robinet was one of the foremost citizens of Rush Twp, and was there before 1808. In the 1860 Census, he was listed as 82 years old, therefore he was born in 1778. In 1801, Abijah purchased a tract of land in Allegany Co, MD called Potato Hollow . According to Allegany County records, Liber F, pg 193, 1811, Abijah Robinette of Tuscarawas Co, Ohio sold to Robert Morrow, tract Potato Hollow appeared Hannah, wife of Abijah. In 1832, Allegany Co. MD Book Q, p. 218, Abijah Robinette of Tuscarawas Co, Oh deeded to David McElfish his share of his father s estate. Abijah is found in Nottingham Twp, Harrison Co, Ohio in 1820. In 1830, he is in Rush Twp. He is still there in 1840 and 1850. In the later Census he has apparently two grandchildren, Abijah, age 14, and Sarah, age 7, living with him.
