2). Bertha graduated with honors from Grandfield High School. She attended Draughon School of Business in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. In 1942, she began working for Civil Service in Washington, D.C. transferring to Tinker Air Force Base in 1946, and moving to Ft. Sill, Oklahoma in 1950. She moved to San Francisco in 1960, and retired in 1972, after 30 years of service. Following her retirement she managed the H & R office in Grandfield, Oklahoma for five years. She also lived in Burkburnett, Texas and Moore, Oklahoma. from her obituary Grandfield, Oklahoma newspaper
