NOTES
1). bobspu.ged Elected State Representative to the Iowa Legislature from Dubuque In 1972. Was reelected Postumously in 1974. Joe died just before the election. His wife,Mary Louise, was his secretary and very proudly so. Died of Cancer at University of Iowa Hospital. The body was donated to the Hospital. Two years later the cremated remains were buried at Calvary Cemetery, Wapello Co., Ottumwa, Iowa. Source Mary Ellen Owens Nov 1997
