1). Beverly Beall Thomas gives birth date of 14 May 1750 Military service Served in the New York Militia during the Revolution. His name with the number of his children appeared in the Cemsus Returns of 1790 1810 Occupation Appointed Judge of the Court of Common Please for the County of columbia as early as 1808, after an extended term of service as Justice of Peace Religion He was born of Quaker stock and brought up his family in the straitest sect of that faithe, in which he himself walked and exemplified its virtues among his fellowmen. Ebenezer seems to have settled upon leased land, from John Rensselaer, December 23, 1773 he received a lease of a farm at Claverack within the Monor of Rensslaerwick, 133 acres, reserving a parcel conveyed by Philip Schuyler and Catherine, his wife, to Samuel Utley. In 1801 John Chase was seized of this parcel and Ebenezer was seized of rent reserved to John VanRensselaer. In 1804 he satisfied a mortgage given by Henry T. Trave of claverack for oe423 425 on lands in Hillsdale, New York, the farm formerly belonging to Christian Ray, now in possession Ebenzer Soule. Info provided by Beverly Beall Thomas
