2). bobspu.ged BIO Jeanie and compiler shared many childhood experiences. Some of these were shared willingly with Jean s brother Butch , others shared with him because we had to . Still, there were a few that were strictly girl stuff, carefully stashed away inour private memory banks. In our younger days, the WILLIAMS lived on a farm where compiler s grandparents had once lived. It was near the larger farm of Del ANDERSON where there was a large creek. Once, during a summer visit, Jeanie and compiler decided the creek was a perfect place to wade. Off came the shoes and socks and into the creek we went. The water was clear enough for compiler to notice some black things on the top of her foot. She tried but they wouldn t shake off. Still not alarmed, compiler mentioned them to Jeanie. Though younger in years, Jeanie was older in farm ways. She suggested we leave the creek and pull off the leeches. Although fighting panic, we did manage to remove the leeches without serious after effects. Wouldn t compiler like to have the opportunity to repeat that now when she is paying nearly $100.00 each two weeks to rid herself of irony blood!? Compiler and Jeanie have pooled their talents mostly imaginations, which were a little enlarged to produce Broadway shows with a barn loft for a stage. They have climbed the forbidden ladder to gain entrance to Uncle Red s dangerously high loft needless to say, compiler was the one who froze coming down and had to be rescued by a less than happy uncle . During high school years, Jean s family lived in southern Indiana where we attended the same school for some time. When her family returned to northern Indiana, Jeanie stayed withcompiler s family long enough to finish a semester. For that brief time, we shared everything, including a bed. That was the true test of our friendship. There were rocky periods and neither of us did much weeping when it was time for her to re join her family. As most true friendships go, once we were not forced into togetherness the relationship healed and we could enjoy each other again. Also, as we married and Jean became a mother, we went through periods of losing contact. Even though we both lived in or near Indianapolis, we both were guilty of the old I ll call her next week business...and we never did. Then one August, we drove to the O DELL Reunion together...just the two of us. What a nice day we had, remembering our childhood and renewing our friendship!! Now it has been nearly ten years since we have seen each other, but compiler suspects that the friendship is still renewable when the opportunity arises.
