She was born at Burning Springs, May 24, 1891, the daughter of the late John and Nancy Tallm an Dawson. She was a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church, Calhoun County. She is survived by her husband, Wirt Norman three sons, John W. Garretson of Barberton, Ohio , Gordy H. Garretson of Spencer and Denver Garretson of Annamoriah four daughters, Gladys Jo hnson of El Paso, Tex., Mildred Metz of Jacksonville, Fla., Virginia Cooper of Parkersburg an d Edith McCormick of Spencer 14 grandchildren three brothers, W.S. Dawson of Creston, Jame s Dawson of Charleston and Kelsey Dawson of Mt. Zion three sisters, Ida Lockhart of Whiteha ll, Mich., Mrs. Jay Bohn of Parkersburg and Etta Tucker of Parkersburg and seven step child ren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert L. Garretson, in 1947. Services were held at Cedar Grove Baptist Church, with Rev. W.D. Dodson officiating. Burial followed in McCray Cemetery, Creston.
