I James Whitted of the town of Hillsborough being weak in body b ut of sound mind blessed be God therefore do my make and publis h this as my last will and testament I give unto my beloved wife Attellia Whitted my negro man Virgil . Secondly, my will and desire is that all the residue of my prope rty of every kind and description be sold by my executor hereina fter named and the proceeds to be equally divided between my sai d wife Attellia, my son Nash Whitted and the child with which sh e is now pregnant I constitute my friends James Webb and F. Nash Executors of this my will. Signed, sealed, published in presence of on this 22nd day of February A.D. 1817 James Whitted seal James Phillips William I. Nash Orange County May Term 1817 The executor of the foregoing last will and testament of James W hitted deceased was duly proved in open court by the oath of Wil liam I.
