2). Betty Evelyn Watts MIFFLINTOWN Betty Evelyn Watts, 76, of 101 N. Fifth St., formerly of RR 3, Mifflintown, passed away Monday, Dec. 31, 2001, at the home of her daughter, Patty Varner. Born April 6, 1925, in Tuscarora, Juniata County, she was a daughterof the late Ray S. and Helen M. Wagner Walters. She was preceded in death by her husband, C. Robert Watts, on Oct. 26, 1973 and by an infant son on Nov. 14, 1949. Surviving are four daughters, Patty, wife of Douglas Varner, Betty Jean B.J., wife of David Doray, Robin, wife of Dennis Clouser, all of Mifflintown, and Kathie, wife of Donald Wills of Lewistown a sister, Dorothy Henry of Mifflin eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Presently, she was a homemaker and a mother. Early in herlife she worked as a clerk at Gordon s Dept. Store and was co owner of Watts Grocery Store, Mifflin, from 1961 to 1973. She attended Juniata Joint High School. She was a life long member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Mifflin, and also a member of the Milford Grange. She enjoyed house plants, baking and cooking. Her funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Guss Funeral Home, 20 S. Third St., Mifflintown, with the Rev. Douglas Kelley officiating. Interment will be in Lost Creek Mennonite Cemetery, Oakland Mills. Friends may call Thursday evening from 7 9 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to SUN Home Hospice Services, Inc., 2 Hudson Ave., Juniata Square, Lewistown, PA 17044.
