1). 2d but eldest surviving son of King Frederick V Caroline Matilda was 1st cousin and the marriage was dissolved 6 Apr 1772.
2). This marriage was a disaster, for the Danish King was a vicious profligate had many mistresses and offspring as a result , and Caroline turned for consolation to a German doctor, John Struensee.
