Brothers Heinreich Peter (Henry) Tesch and Adam Adam, arrived in America October 23, 1752 aboard the "Rawley". Heinrich arrived in Salem, NC from Penn. in 1771. Rhonda Walk had both Sarah Tesch, b Jul 13, 1772 and Anna Rosina Tesch b Jun 29, 1774 Chilrren of Heinreich Peter (Henry) Tesch/Anna Margaritha Jaeger
As a youth, Adam was drafted for the Rev. War but his father refused to allow him to go. He was a conscientious objector. Adam was allowed to stay home since he wasn't really needed at the time but later was drafted again. This time his father had to pay a triple tax to keep Adam out of the war. One night men broke into the house and took Adam from his bed and forced him to leave with them. The judge finally allowed Adam to return home ruling that the members of the Moravian church were exempt form fighting but they had to pay a triple tax again.
