   Deerfield Man, 11th Polio Case, Reported 'Poor'

A 22-year-old Deerfield veteran of World War II was i n ' p o o r' condition at Children's hospital in Akron, whe r e h e i s u nder treatment for infantile paralysis. The c ou nty' s 11 th p olio victim is George Wilcox, father o f a sm all c hild , wh o was admitted to the hospital Monda y. Wedn esda y whe n his c ondition became critical, he wa s place d in a n iro n lung. Th ree special nurses have bee n assign ed to a tten d him. Hospit al authorities today sa id his co nditio n had n ot improved. Wilcox, who lives west of Deerfield on Route 224, is em p l o y ed at the Youngstown Sheet and Tube Co. in Youngsto wn.
