General Notes (Husband)
Given name taken from old church record. There is a reasonable amount of surity that Karl was the name of Elizabeths husband.
General Notes (Wife)
I know little of Elizabeth. I believe I have a photograph of her which shows a very large woman holding a baby . I do know that she spoke German and very little English . She apparently immigrated to this country sometim in the 1860's or so. She lived in Buffalo , New York. She is buried in Concordia Cemetery on Walden Avenue, Buffalo, NY.
Notes (Marriage)
!MARRIAGE:"Noblesville Ledger," 26 Jul 1877, p. 4., "Noble s ville Ledger," 26 Jul 1877, p. 4.
General Notes for Child Joseph Schultz
Joseph Schultz never married. He was very hard of he a r i n g and was killed while riding his bicycle.
General Notes for Child Mary Schultz
Mary Schultz was a wonderful woman. She had large b r o w n e yes and spoke with a German accent . My mother l ov e d h er dearly. Apparently, she wasborn in this countr y t o p aren ts who immigr ated from Germany to Buffalo, Ne w Yo rk . Gran dma M altbie, as she was called, spoke Germ an a t ho me and i t was actually her primary language. I n phot os, m y mothe r look ed muchlike her. She made her h ome a h ave n - a peace ful place.
She met Julius Maltbie while he lived and worked in Buf f a l o. Their marriage was to last a lifetime with Juliu s ne v e r remarrying after Mary's death. My mother spen t hour s l oo king through grandma Maltbie's thing s and pl aying w it h he r makeup and jewelry. Grandma Maltbie was o ne of th e f ew pe ople that my mother said she truly loved.
Grandma Maltbie apparently died of a severe allergic re a c t ion. She was found in the kitchen of her home. Her t on g u e swollen in her mouth to the point she could not br eat h e . Her family tried everything to save her, includi ng u si n g a spoon to push her tongue down so that she cou ld ge t m or e air. It was all to no avail.
Mary Schultz Maltbie is buried in the same cemeter y a s m y m other is buried. It is located at The First Con greg atio na l Church of Evans, known as Jerusalem Corner s to lo cal r esi dents in North Evans, Erie County, New Yo rk. He r grav e is l ocated adjacent to the grave of her da ughter , Lillia n Maltb ie - my grandmother.
(Medical): (Medical):She was in the kitchen and her to n g u e suddenly sw elled up to the point where she couldn ' t br ea the. She suffocated to death before a doctor cou l d arri ve . The family tried prying her tongue down t o n o effect.

General Notes (Husband)
[royalty.ged]
NAME Friedrich II, "The Great", King Of /PRUSSIA/
The King's lifesyle was austere and his preferred residence was Sans Souci, a secluded mansion. Although married, he lived as a bachelor and ladies were seldom seen at his court, which was the occasion of some scandal. He preferred to speak and write in French. No issue, succeeded by his nephew. Frederick was extremely sympathetic to the American Revolution and was an admirer of George Washington. He was one of the first sovereigns to conclude a commercial treaty with the U.S. His rule was absolute; he was a ubiquitous administrator constantly checking the work of his officials, from whom he exacted the utmost in conscientiousness.

Pyotr III Karlovich (1762), grandson of Pyotr I. This peculiar and little-known character is an enigma. On his marriage to Yekaterina II. A thorough German, Pyotr despised Russia and made no secret of it. He had no love for his wife and hoped to put her away when he became Tsar. Unfortunately, Yekaterina was much too quick for him. He was put away himself, in a monastery, and subsequently murdered, probably against the wishes of Yekaterina, who was not unduly disturbed, anyway.-- The Augustan, Vol. XIV, No.s 5 and 6. -- A Survey of the Great Princes and Tsars of Russia by Rodney C. Walker, M.A., F.A.S. #76.
