Mrs Vinney Eoods, wife of Wm. T. Woods, living on a farm 1 1/4 mi. E. of Boyleston, shot herself through the mouth with a 22 targeting rifle.The ball entered the mouth and lodged near the base of the brain.  She had been depressed since the death of a child in March of the previous year. Drs reached the house about 11 o'clock.  After probing unsuccessfully Dr. Thorpe of Boyleston and Dr. Bowers os Scircleville gave it as their opinion that the woman could not live.  She died at 5:15.  She is to be buried in King's Corner.  Survived by Father and Mother Joseph Jones. Half sisters Mrs Roe Kirby,  and Carrie McKinney.  Two brothers Edward and Fred, and a sister Essie Stewart.
