My acquaintance with the only sister of my father, my Aun t Keith was more intimate as I used to be often at her husb and's house at Keithfield on Black River during my visits t o my Uncle Windham as well as after Uncle Keith's death a t her house in Georgetown always kindly received by the gen ial old lady, so cheerful and intelligent, so warmhearted a nd affectionate, that she entirely won the hearts of all wh o approached her. She was earnest in piety & of transparen t sincerity & beautiful simplicity with the strength of cha racter & good sense which have been characteristic of my fe male relatives on my father's side.
