In 1683 he came to DE on ship "Lyon of Liverpool" as indentured servant. He was a blacksmith, home builder, and surveyor. He helped Thomas HOLME lay out City of Philadelphia. In 1695 he was Chester Co. (PA) sheriff. In 1700-08 he was Chester Co. (PA) coroner and court clerk. He was a Quaker and later an Episcopalian.
