Appointed first white bar pilot and river pilot on the Co l u mbia River in 1842. Drowned in the Willamette River in Oregon.

A Thomas Green Lee was from this Co.  He lived in Mahaska Co Iowa in 1860.  The actual cemetery reading at the Graham Cemetery said he was born 30 Nov 1799, died 20 Aug 1865(?).
