Plymouth Pilgrims, Puritan seperatists from Church of England, some living in Holland, left Plymouth, England, September 16, 1620, on the Mayflower. Original destination was Virginia.  They reached Cape Cod Nov. 19, 1620, explored the coast; 103 passengers landed December 26, 1620, at Plymouth. Mayflower Compact was agreement to form a government and abide  by its laws. Half of colony died during harsh winter.  William was among  them, as was his wife Alice, and 20-year old son, Joseph Mullins.

William Mullins was one of the famed Pilgrims who sailed from Plymouth, England, to Plymouth, Massachusetts, on the Mayflower in 1620.  The Pilgrims were seeking separation from the Church of England.  Of the 103 passengers  on the Mayflower, half died during the brutal winter of 1620-21.  William  was one of the unfortunates, dying in February, 1621, and his wife, Alice, also succomed in March, 1621.  His daughter, Priscilla, survived, and lived to  the ripe age of 79. The book, "Families of the Pilgrims", states Priscilla Mullins died sometime "after 1650".

John Alden and Priscilla Mullins had at least ten children, my ancestor was their first. The book, "Families of the Pilgrims", indicates an 11th child, no name given. hogge.ged files indicate two other children not verified in the  "Families" book.  They are (according to Hogge): Zachariah Alden  b. abt 1641, duxbury;  d 13 Jan 1688  ***Disputed by the Mayflower Society*** Lydia Alden  b. 3 apr 1652, Duxbury, Married John SPOONER 12 nov  1668. As these two are not verified by other sources, they have not been  entere into the database. *************** Priscilla Mullins' family line has been claimed to go back through the following lineage. The book, "Families of the Pilgrims", states Priscilla Mullins died sometime "after 1650".  A photo of the grave marker of Priscilla Mullins Alden is in the Redfield scrapbook.  Unfortunately, it is too dark to scan into the computer fo the media files.  Photo provided by distant cousin, Dede DeGrote, of Minnesota. John Alden and Priscilla Mullins had at least ten children, my ancestor was their first.
    The book, "Families of the Pilgrims", indicates an 11th child, no name given.
    hogge.ged files indicate two other children not verified in the "Families" book.  They are (according to Hogge):
     Zachariah Alden  b. abt 1641, duxbury;  d 13 Jan 1688  ***Disputed by the Mayflower Society***
     Lydia Alden  b. 3 apr 1652, Duxbury, Married John SPOONER 12 nov 1668.
     As these two are not verified by other sources, they have not been entere into the database.
