         Frankfort rt. 3, died at 1:51 p.m.
         Sept. 9,1987, in Clinton County
         Hospital.
          Mrs. Lewis was a member of
         Country Chapel Church of God.
         She had worked at the Kempton
         Canning Factory, U.S. Hame Co.
         and National Cigar Co.
          She was born Aug. 26, 1899, in
         Clinton County to William and
         Myrtle Blystone Strawn. She
         married Sam Lewis on July 6,
         1918, and he died July 22, 1986.
          Surviving are a son, Sam Jr. of
         Kokomo; three daughters, Lena
         Clidence of Chesterfield, Reba
         Joyce of Satellite Beach, Fla.,
         and Maxine Weaver of Michigan-
         town; 13 grandchildren, 30 great-
         grandchildren and two great-
         great-grandchildren.
          Services will be at 3:30 p.m.
         Friday at Goodwin Funeral
         Home with the Rev. Kevin Dem-
         mitt officiating. Burial will be in
         Whitman Cemetery. Friends
         may call 4-8 p.m. Thursday.
