He was the son of the late Herb er t a n d Ca therine [sic] Graham Lindsley. He died June 30 at his home. An Alliance High School graduate, he was the Technica l D i r e ctor and co-owner of Stewart Brothers P ain t a n d w as co-owner of Wellborn Paint Manufacturing C o. i n Al bu quer que, NM. He retired in 1970 from Wellborn. A former member of First Immanuel United Church of Ch r i s t , he was also a member of Conrad Masonic Lodge 2 7 1 , Ta dm or Temple and Elks Lodge 467. Former Alliance resident Ruth M. Lindsley, 88, of St. L o u i s , died Wednesday at B.J.C. Hospital in St. Louis. She was born June 4, 1909, in Deerfield to the late Cl a y t o n and Caroline (Logue) Wilcox. A graduate of the fo rm e r D ee rfield High School, she was a homemaker. Mrs. Lindsley was a former member of the First Immanu e l U n i ted Church of Christ and a member of Order of Eas te rn S t a r Chapter 296. On Aug. 16, 1931, she married George G. Lindsley, w h o d i e d June 30. She was also preceded in death by a da ug hte r , Ka thryn Foster; two brothers, Roscoe and Melvi n Wi lco x ; an d a sister, Eva Wilcox. Survivors include a son, James B.; three grandchildr e n ; a n d eight great-grandchildren. There will be no services or calling hours. Buria l w i l l b e at Atwater Cemetery.
