BIO: Ben O'DELL writes, "My father, Benjamin Lafayette O'DELL (1886-1956) married Della Myrtle LONG, daughter of Jefferson Davis LONG and granddaughter of Abram LONG. They lived at Cumberland Gap, Tennessee. Benjamin Lafayette O'DELL retired from the L & N Railway as train dispatcher. " Two obituaries for Jonathan O'DELL name this son of Jonathan as "LaFayette". One of the obituaries makes mention of his residence in Cumberland Gap, TN. Paul JOHNSON, in his compilation of the Claiborne Co. cemeteries, gives Benjamin Lafayette's date of death as 12 JUN 1957. Marjorie WHEELER, a cousin of Ben Long O'DELL's added the information that Benj. Lafayette died in London, KY.
