I Joshua Mansell ofPickensDist. being in a low state of health though of a sound andfulldisposing mind. First after my debts and funeral expenses arepaid, Iwill to my wife Mahala Mansell 100 acres of land enclose myhouse,enduring her widow or natural life time. Her land to includethespring adj. land of Austain Day Field. Also one negro womancalledMatilda and one boy named Laurense (Matilda and increase). withallstock, tools, household and kitchen furniture, one horse, the cropinthe field, rent from the land. After her natural life or marriageIdevise the same to my six youngest children. To wit: Cumill Jane,Tinsa Emmer, Thomas Fletcher, Aby, Baily, Malinda Allice Mansell tobedivided equally. I give to my oldest son John B. Mansell and mythirdson Addison Mansell the remainder of my land to be divided attheirpleasure. I give to my oldest son my double barreled shotgunandblacksmith tools.
