 See Louise Martin Mohler's booklet on Jacob Martin of Jef f e rson County, Ohio, revised April 1996, page 10, and letter to editor of Th e H e rald, April 10, 1819 on Mohler, page 26.  She shows marriage to Joseph Runyo n , w ho Mohler identifies as son of Lewis and Sarah (Tingley) Martin, with Joseph d y i ng in 1822.  However other data we have on that Joseph Runyan shows him surviv i n g his second wife Rachel and dying in 1873.  This requires further research.

     Mohler shows Rachel Martin and her husband Joseph Ru n y on with following children (the first apparently conceived prior to marriag e ) : Esther Runyon b. 1817; Eliza Runyon b. 1819; and Rebecca Runyon, who marr i e d 1842, William Morrison.
