General Notes (Husband)



 Served as a sergeant in Colonel Lacey's Regiment, Marion' s Brigade. William McDonald is mentioned in Weem's Life o f Marion as having red hair and being with Sgt Jasper at Fo rt Moultrie, assisting him in holding up the flag after Jas per was wounded. Is listed as a member of Captain Henry Lee 's troops, 1st Regiment, Light Dragoons, Continental Troops.
