JOHN TYE HOUSE. THE 1ST HOME IN WHITLEY CO. KENTUCKY.
WIFE NANCY WAS A GRANDDAUGHTER OF JEPTHA TERRELL!
MOST OF GEORGE'S SECOND FAMILY FOUGHT FOR THE SOUTH
IN THE CIVIL WAR. THEY FOUND THEY COULD NO LONGER STAY
IN KENTUCKY AFTER THE WAR. THEY LEFT IN A WAGON TRAIN
AND WENT ON TO FOUND TYE, TEXAS. THIS MIGRATION OF THE
TYE'S WAS IN 1866.
