Ref: Frankfort Times, Frankfort, IN, pg. 1, 30 Mar. 1933 -- Death Comes To Nathan Orr - - Pioneer of Scircleville Community Passes Away at the Age of 95 -- Scircleville, IN - March 29 - Nathan Orr, age 95, died at the home of his son, Lorenzo Orr, one and a half miles northeast of here at one o'clock this morning. He had been in failing health all winter from complications incident to advanced age.
Funeral services will be held Friday morning at 10 o'clock from the St. Paul church, with burial in St. Paul cemetery.
Mr. Orr was born in Coshocton, Ohio, January 29, 1838, and came to Clinton county with his parents, Matthew and Armina Orr when two years old. The family settled in the Scircleville vicinity and he had spent all his life there. September 19, 1858, he was married to Margaret McClelland, who died December 5, 1917.
He is survived by five children, Austin and Lorenzo Orr of near Scircleville, Clint Orr of near Forest, Mrs. Etta Hatch of Chicago, Mrs. Ella Skinner of Indianapolis, nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Ref: Frankfort, IN dtd. 16 Jun. 1948, -- Austin Orr, 88, retired farmer, died Wednesday afternoon at the home of Ed Jones, 459 East Washington Street. He was born in Clinton Co., IN. He was first married to Anna Wilson, and after her death to Bertie Pedworth (1874 - 1946), who preceded him in death last year. He was a member of the Church of God at Scircleville, and a former trustee of Johnson Township.
Surviving are two brothers, Clinton of Forest, IN and Lorenzo of Scircleville, and two sisters, Mrs. Etta Hatch, of Oregon, IL, and Mrs. Ella Skinner fo Indianapolis, IN.

Ref: The following data given to Mary Thomas Crismore by Mary Etta (Orr) Hatch - "Order of birth of the Nathan and Margaret Orr children: Austin, Lorene, Mary Etta, Clinton, Elnora and a son that died in infancy. As is recalled his name was Alvin, but I do not know the order of his birth. He was evidently named for his grandfather Alvin McCleland.

Ref: Frankfort Times, Frankfort, IN, 28 May 1942, pg. 10 -- James M. Orr Dies at Hospital -- James M. Orr, 73, former Forest and Johnson township teacher, and later an oil field worker, died at the Clinton county hospital at 2 p.m. yesterday. He had been ill for more than 15 years and had been a patient in the hospital for two weeks.
Born near Scircleville December 7, 1868, he was the son of Curran and Sarah (Scircle) Orr. Graduating from Scircleville high school he attended Central Normal College at Danville in preparation for the teaching profession. After serving in the Forest and Johnson township schools he resigned and became active in the oil fields near Los Angeles.
In 1895, he was married to Eva Conner, who died in 1907.
Surviving are a son, Dudley Orr, Akron, OH, a sister, Mrs. Asa Crail, residing north of Kempton and several nieces and nephews.
The body will be removed from the Aughe & Son funeral home to the home of the sister, where friends may call after 3 p.m. today. Services will be held at the West Point Christian church at 2 p.m. Sunday with the Rev. Fenton Messenger as the officiating minister. Burial will be in the St. Paul cemetery near Scircleville.
