Some historians claim the name McDaniel and McDonald wer e interchangeable. The documents relating to this Daniel Mc Donald indicate this was true. In some instances, Daniel Mc Donald signs legibly as "McDonald" and again as "McDaniel" . He signed his will as "McDaniel", but refers in it to hi s eldest son as "McDonald". His will is in the Charleston C ounty Will Book dated 24 September, 1777.

Information on Isaac Tillman is inconsistent from one sour ce to another, and needs to be further validated. I am fair ly sure the information on Isaac Tillman's descendants is a ccurate, but I believe the Isaac Tillman in "McDonald, Kimb all, Wade, Leak" by B.M. Doughtie is a different individua l than the Isaac Tillman in "Tilghman-Tillman Family" by S. F. Tillman and "Tilman & Hamilton Family Records" by J.D. T illman. The siblings just don't match. I do not think Isaa c Tillman, husband of Elizabeth McDonald, was the son of Jo hn Tillman and Millicent White, although they had a son nam ed Isaac Tillman.
